Vital, an Atlanta-based health IT startup launched in 2019, has closed a $15 million Series B round. Transformation Capital led the round with participation from earlier investors First Round Capital and Threshold Ventures.

The company’s ERAdvisor application gives patients and their caregivers in the emergency department real-time, mobile updates about wait times, lab statuses, and next steps in an effort to improve the patient experience and to improve care coordination. The cofounders of Vital are the creator of, Aaron Patzer, and Justin Schrager, an emergency medicine physician at Emory Healthcare.

Cleerly Health has announced the appointment of Brandon Atkinson as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Nick Nieslanik as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The expansion of the executive board follows Cleerly Health’s recent announcement of a  $43 million Series B round.

Atkinson previously worked as CEO of 46 Summits Consulting. Nieslanik previously served as vice president of engineering at Teladoc Health, formerly Livongo. Cleerly’s leadership expansion seeks to accelerate the company’s mission to create a new standard of care for heart disease.
